Hou Zelf Je Bek (2025)

In a musical theater performance, Djuwa questions the unspoken rules of presence in public spaces, such as concert halls. How do you ensure that everyone feels at home in the Muziekgebouw? What conditions, explicit or implicit, underlie people's presence in that space? Which sounds do we prefer to hear? Which do we avoid? And what is the role of silence? 

Mroivili studied classical music and piano, but isn't afraid to push boundaries in her own music. In the performance " Hold Your Mouth," she philosophizes about a world full of noise, care, and glitter. By approaching the Muziekgebouw as an extension of public space, Mroivili connects gentrification, the exclusive nature of classical music, and silence.
